Our Vision

The idea for this food business came out of our own search for healthy snacks. Every supermarket, and every snack aisle, is filled with a huge number of unhealthy options. They're loaded with sugar or saturated fat to make the snack tasty and more appealing to the customer. It isn't good for your health.

In recent years there has been a growing number of companies catering to healthier options. You see more labels now — 'low fat', 'no sugar', 'zero fat', 'plant based'. While that's a welcome sign, there's another issue: packaging and ecological damage. Even the healthy snack companies pack their products in packaging that isn't eco-friendly.

These are the two main concerns our idea was born from. We at Mrukku Bites aspire to provide healthy snack products in eco-friendly packaging. That is our vision.

First: healthier snacks

To pursue healthy options, we carefully select quality ingredients for our snacks. We focus on offering nutritious options with controlled amounts of oil and natural flavors.

Second: eco-friendly packaging

To pursue eco-friendly packaging, we ship products as fresh as possible. Most snacks are packaged in plastic bags because plastic gives a longer shelf life — an important property when a product has to sit on a supermarket shelf.

But we sell through our own website and ship directly from our facility, so our products aren't going to sit on a shelf for months. That means we can use regular paper bags, which are compostable. Paper provides all the strength and sealing needed for a short trip from our kitchen to your home.
